A/W 2018/19 RUNWAY TREND:
FAUX FUR
As I was researching runway trends for the season of Autumn/Winter 2018/19, faux fur was greatly prevalent between designers and shows. As fashion designers modernize with the humane decision of no longer working with real fur, faux fur was no longer seen as something of the lower or middle class, but rather the right thing to do.
A/W 2018/19 MOOD AND COLORS:
MASCULINITY
As society continues to modernize, the desire for gender neutral clothing, silhouettes, and colors are on rise especially within ready to wear apparel. Masculinity in women's sportswear is extremely prominent. The desire to accentuate a women's curves are now being ditched more commonly as individuals no longer desire to give into gender norms and ideals. Masculinity within women's apparel emphasizes expression and societal change.
